Beautiful Sonata for Cello and Piano, composed in 1934 right before the Soviet regime censored his music. In fact, this work is a painting with personal feelings on the foreground, like love, sadness, hope, and the terrible Russian repression on the background, and the first purpose is how to combine this two macro elements, passing through specific topics like 1) Vibratos & Glissandos in Russian music 2) Contrasting emotions within a phrase 3) Pizzicato technique 4) Change of attitude from the 1st to the 2nd movement.
