Teacher:
Miriam Fried
Composer:
Bach
Lesson Description
It all starts from the consideration that in the 18th Century some dances, which are traditionally rhythmically underlined, began to be considered more like Arias, and sometimes ""Canzonettas"", and the Siciliana was one of these. Therefore the whole organization and structure of the composition have to be reconsidered, with more connections between phrases and more melody and resonance to the sound. So the topics are:
1) 12/8 played as 4/4
1) 12/8 played as 4/4
2) Tweaking the Vibrato, thin and measured
3) Bowing the sound to the air
4) Organizing priorities.
