A hymn to happiness and hope in the future, as it was written in December 1803 and performed for the first time in new year's January 1st 1804. Originally it was written in E Major, but it's often performed in E-flat Major, because it makes the fingering less difficult with modern E-flat and B-flat trumpets, that's why our teacher also choose E-flat Major for this masterclass.
