Bach Violin Partita No. 2 in Dm, IV Gigue

Teacher:
Janna Gandelman

Composer:
Bach

Lesson Description

We know that Gigue is a dance, and women at that time used to dance in log and sophisticated dresses. So 1) the Tempo cannot be too fast, but not even too slow. 2) Then there is an alternation between Forte and Piano, which has to be very well audible, and 3) we need to wisely mix Staccato and Legato.
Assistant: Mark Karlinsky
