A First Prize winner of the International Pablo Casals Competition in Budapest (1968), Maria Tchaikovskaya was a Mstislav Rostropovich student. She is an active performer, and as a teacher, she served as the assistant to the late Rostropovich.
Professor Moscow State Conservatory
Maria is a retired professor at the Moscow State Conservatory. She still frequently gives Masterclasses worldwide.
