MICHAEL TALMANN
Michael Thalmann is a Swiss pianist who plays concerts in Europe, Asia, Central- and South America as a soloist and chamber music partner.
Studied with Leon Fleisher and Leslie Howard
Michael Thalmann studied at the Musikhochschule Bern and graduated in 1992 with a Master’s degree in Specialized Music Performance. He followed the master classes of Prof. S. Dorenski and Prof. R. Kehrer at the Mozarteum in Salzburg. Liszt specialist Leslie Howard in London made sure Michael got very skilled in performing Liszt.
Studies in “Fondazione Internazionale Theo Lieven per il Pianoforte” (Cadenabbia/Italy)
In 1993 Michael was admitted to study at the “Fondazione Internazionale Theo Lieven per il Pianoforte” (Cadenabbia/Italy), taught by Leon Fleisher and Dimitrij Bashkirov, Fou Ts’ong, Dietrich Fischer-Dieskau (Lied accompaniment) among others. His first CD with pieces by Franz Schubert and Franz Liszt was released in 1997 (Koch-Discover International).
