About the Teachers
Jean-Guihen Queyras is professor at the Musikhochschule Freiburg and artistic co-director of the Rencontres Musicales de Haute-Provence. Father of 3 masterpieces, loves Vins de Bourgogne, Japanese (and other) cuisine, Cinema, Tennis, football, Ai Weiwei, Nelson Mandela, and tolerance!
Hungarian Miklós Perényi is recognized as one of the greatest cellists of his generation.
Prizewinner at the International Pablo Casals Cello Competition in Budapest and Cello Professor at the Franz Liszt Academy, has held a professorship since 1980.
Ivan Monighetti was the last student taught by Mstislav Rostropovich at the Moscow Conservatory. He is a Professor of Cello at the City of Basel Music Academy and the Escuela Superior de Música Reina Sofía in Madrid and a visiting professor at the Academy of Music in Krakow.
