Masterclass description

Haydn was one of his era's keyboard virtuosos and loved to write piano sonatas (more than 60!) for piano players. Here is a very interesting movement with a very refined structure and development. What will you find in this lesson? First, professor Frankl advises how to play two different phrases of the movement without giving the impression that the movement ends after the first slow one. Find out when the silence between the notes becomes essential to the phrases and how Professor Frankl's interpretation sounds. Lastly, how to integrate the left hand with the melody played by the right hand, therefore demanding sensibility to connect each other. Professor: Peter Frankl. Assistantt: Wouter Bergenhuizen.
