Bio

Sergiu is an accomplish trumpet player from Moldova who completed his post-graduate studies in Paris’ well known Conservatoire National Supérieur de Musique. He has played solo and in an orchestras for over 2 decades.

Sergiu Performs all over the World

In 1989, he was a founder of the Moldova Brass Quintet. In 2007, he founded the Romanian Brass Society. Sergiu has participated as a jury member in dozens of international brass wind competitions.

Since 2001, he is currently the trumpet party leader of the Romanian National Opera in Timisoara. Sergiu is a philharmonic artistic director at a well known Romanian state philharmonic. He is a well known trumpeeter in his home country.

Sergiu has performed as a soloist in France, Israel, Italy, Germany, Austria, Spain and in many other European countries with various orchestras, with piano accompaniment, organ, string orchestra, solo. He continues to play solo throughout Romania.\

A Busy Teacher

Since 1978, Sergiu has been a professor trumpet at a handful of Romanian and Moldovan universities, high schools and conservatories. He also gives master classes in higher education institutions throughout Europe and in Canada.
