Outstanding Award: Two time first prize winner of the Aviv Competition at the Raanana Music Center and receives scholarships of the America Israel Scholarship Foundation
Yuval Nuri Shem-Tov, born in 1996, is a laureate of the "Paul Ben Haim" Competition 2014. Yuval began playing the violin at the age of 8 with Alona Kotlyar and continued his studies with Gilad Hildesheim. He is a two time first prize winner of the Aviv Competition at the Raanana Music Center and receives scholarships of the America Israel Scholarship Foundation.
Yuval Performs Throughout Israel
Yuval has performed as a soloist with the Raanana Music Center Symphony Orchestra and with the "Orpheus" ensemble in Nazareth. He is the concertmaster of the "Thelma Yellin" High School of Arts Symphony Orchestra with which he performed "Scheherazade" by Rimski Korsakov, and serves as a principal player at the Young Israel Philharmonic Orchestra. He participates regularly at the "David Goldman Program," which sponsors chamber music groups for highly talented young musicians, and he was acknowledged as an outstanding musician by the Israeli army.
Yuval Continues His Studies
Yuval participates in Keshet Eilon winter and spring seminars, and participates at the ISA seminars in Semmering, Austria during the summers. He has participated in Master Classes with Irina Svetlova, Miriam Fried, Isaac Malkin, Uri Vardi, Grigory Kalinovsky and Donald Weilerstein. He is now studying with Guy Figer, and is under the continuous guidance of Hagai Shaham.
