Haran Meltzer



Haran has appeared as a soloist with the Israel Philharmonic Orchestra under the baton of Zubin Mehta playing the Saint-Saens cello concerto. He has appeared a few more times with the Israel Philharmonic Orchestra, the Israel Chamber Orchestra, the Israel Camerata Orchestra, the Israel Sinfonietta Beer Sheva, the Tel-Aviv Soloists Ensemble and the Ashdod Symphony Orchestra and regularly plays solo recitals in Israel.

Haran’s First Prizes and Scholarships

In 2012 won the first prize of the "Lions Club" cello competition in Israel, and the first prize of the "Buchman-Mehta School of Music" chamber music competition.

Since 2007, Haran is receiving yearly scholarships from the America-Israel Cultural Foundation, and from "Zfunot Tarbut" foundation since 2009. He has participated as a chamber musician in the Perlman Music Program in New York,  Ravinia Festival in Chicago, and "Musethica" Festival in Israel.

Haran Studies With Israel’s Best Instructors

Haran has played in master classes with Uzi Vizel, Hillel Zori, Gary Hoffman, Rafael Wallfish, Frans Helmerson, Ron Leonard, Paul Katz, Ralph Kirshbaum, Timothy Eddy and Lynn Harrell. In addition, he has studied with Mrs. Luba Rabin and Mr. Emanuele Silvestri. Haran currently continues his studies with Mr. Zvi Plesser.
