Doruk Gorkem Tokur was born in Ankara on January 18, 1991.
Gorkem Began Studying Music at Age 5
His interest in music began in his childhood and he started taking piano lessons at the age of 5. He was admitted to the piano program at the Hacettepe University's Conversatory and worked with Associate Professor Menekse Akar towards his degree. Tokur continued his studies with Professor Yesim Alkaya Yener in 2010 and graduated from Hacettepe University's Conservatory with high honors in 2012.
He continued his studies at the Scuola di Musica di Fiesole in Florence, Italy with Andrea Lucchesini between 2012-2014 and graduated on June 2014. He gives many domestic and international performances each year.
Gorkem Has Worked with Many of the World’s Best Musicians
He worked and continue working with many worldwide notable artists. Some of them include: Gulsin Onay, İdil Biret, Alexander Madzar, Bernd Goetzke, Kemal Gekic, Misha Dacic, Pamela Mia Paul, Daniel Gortler, Mikola Suk, Markus Thomas.
